Blue Ox Music Festival: Campout in the Pines
Blue Ox Music Festival Hosts Socially-Distanced Campout with Yonder Mountain String Band
Blue Ox Music Festival just announced it will hold an intimate two-day festival at the Whispering Pines Campground in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on September 24 – 26, 2020. Just when it seemed like the festival season was officially canceled for 2020, the innovators behind Blue Ox Music Festival has reimagined the normal festival experience and have laid out their plan for a safe weekend for a handful of lucky guests.
This will be the second installment of the Campout in the Pines summer camping experiences. The special event is limited to 250 tickets to accommodate their safe, social distance requirements. The festival has put together a detailed list of their safety guidelines, which includes a health questionnaire, refunds for those who show symptoms, the encouragement of a COVID-19 test pre-festival, plus extensive on-site social distancing guidelines and requirements throughout the camping and festival grounds.
The Camping Experience at Whispering Pines
One of our favorite festival campgrounds in the country, Whispering Pines Campground boasts 150 acres of land to explore and spread out.
When taking a break from the music, festival attendees can enjoy disc-golfing or yard games. Or just relax at their shaded campsites spaced safely apart from other guests.
During the daytime, Blue Ox welcomes attendees to venture off Whispering Pines Campground to explore the numerous outdoor activities such as kayaking and canoeing on the Chippewa River, and biking around town in Eau Claire, while discovering its many lovely bridges crisscrossing the river.
