MELD “Freedom” Digital Release Party Benefitting Free for Life!
As many artists are finding creative ways to introduce new material to their audiences, MELD has collaborated with a variety of artists to create a “Virtual Writers Round” featuring some of her favorite musicians and artists from the United States.
The Facebook release party will also raise money for Free For Live International – an organization that helps rescue trafficking victims and get them back on their feet. The event will specifically focus on raising funds for the organization’s shelters which are used to provide victims a safe space so they can return to a normal daily routine.
While the musicians are playing, the other artists involved will be creating art during the sets. So, join in on the creative process from the comfort of your own home.

MELD Releases New Single from Upcoming Sophmore Album
Article by JED Media
MELD is an artist on a mission to inspire unconditional love on, and for our planet. After spending the past year in the studio, her debut self-titled album, “MELD,” is due out on all streaming platforms on August 28. Today, MELD celebrated her forthcoming album with a live rendition of the first single, “Freedom” on Osiris.
Stream Freedom HERE.
Soaring melodies, rich horn lines, and eclectic rhythmic and percussive elements all fuse together on “Freedom” in a way that is daring, refreshingly honest, and true to MELD’s self-coined genre, “UniverSOUL”. MELD describes UniverSOUL as a “mixture between the big band gospel feeling of Tedeschi-Trucks Band, the neo-soul and progressive jazz sounds of Becca Stevens and Hiatus Kaiyote, all tied together with the eco-conscious messages of artists such as Nahkobear and Ayla Nereo” (the latter of which she toured with in 2019.)
“MELD” the album (out Aug 2020), was mastered by Anthony Thogmartin of Papadosio and EarthCry, and mixed by Paul “Paco” Cossette (Sturgill Simpson.) Produced by Josh Nelson and Melanie Dewey, and engineered by a handful of talented Nashville-based engineers such as Nelson, Conor McCarthy of Electric Church Records, and Michael Esser of Sundog Studios (Sheryl Crow, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Cage The Elephant).
More on MELD:
MELD is an artist on a mission to inspire unconditional love on, and for our planet. Her self-coined genre, “UniverSOUL” can be described as a mixture between the big band gospel feeling of Tedeschi-Trucks Band, the neo-soul and progressive jazz sounds of Becca Stevens and Hiatus Kaiyote, all tied together with the eco-conscious messages of artists such as Nahkobear and Ayla Nereo (the latter of which she toured with in 2019.)
MELD’s upcoming self-titled project is the follow up to her debut EP “H.U.R.T.”, produced by Matt Harris of livetronica band, Zoogma. H.U.R.T. received nods from Nylon Mag, BTRToday, No Country for New Nashville, Dancing Astronaut, and more. Her remix album, “H.U.R.T. (The Remixes,)” garnered over 250K listens on Spotify, ultimately placing her in Release Radar and Discover Weekly. MELD’S latest album is taking a less pop-forward approach musically, but her daring messages of radical acceptance, rising above adversity, and environmental consciousness are a much better match for her newer, bigger sound.
MELD has toured with Ayla Nereo, opened for The Main Squeeze, Maggie Rose, Zoogma, Brothers Past, and many more. In the summer of 2018, she toured across the U.S. and headlined 30 different dates across the country, raising money for clean water initiatives along the way, and ending up at major festivals Sonic Bloom and Music On The Mothership.
